Senta apologizes

I, 4th Six Paths, would like to give those who visit the Jigokuraku wiki for information on the series my sincerest apologizes regarding the information concerning Gabimaru's real name. It has been years and because of my careless action some of you have already spread this misinformation on social media and other forms of news. I can't tell you how embarrassing and disgraceful as a supporter of Jigokuraku this makes me feel and will vow to do better. As for the other information from the fanbook and novels, I can assure you that they are all correct after going back to check but if you find any errors please let me know as soon as possible. Ever since I became admin of the wiki I have strived everyday to make it great for the series, even if it meant doing it alone, and hope that you can all find it in your hearts to forgive me.

Tameshi Ittō-ryū (試一刀流?) is the sword fighting style used by the Yamada Clan.

Overview

After completing their training in the Yamada Dojo, the Yamada Asaemon are capable of utilizing their blade testing skills in combat. The level of skill a Yamada Asaemon has with the Tameshi Ittō-ryu partially determines the ranking within the Yamada clan. Each Yamada Asaemon have their own variation of the Tameshi Ittō-ryu.

Techniques

Sagiri's Techniques

  • Tameshi Ittō-ryū: Armor Splitter (試一刀流 具足割 Tameshi Ittō-ryū: Gusokuwari?, Literally meaning: One Sword Style Test Cutting: Armor Splitter): Sagiri swings her sword towards her opponent to counter an oncoming attack. This is called Ittō-ryū: Armor-Splitter in the Viz Manga.

Tensa's Techniques

This is called Ittō-ryū Ultimate: Pounding Torrent in the Viz Manga.

Shion's Techniques

With his ability to sense Tao, and high knowledge of swordsmanship, Yamada Asaemon Shion is able to execute instantaneous sword strikes.

  • Tameshi Ittō-ryū: Demon Rain (試一刀流 鬼雨 Tameshi Ittō-ryū: Oni Ame?, Literally meaning: One Sword Style Test Cutting: Demon Rain): A sword technique where Shion swings his sword simultaneously from above and below to cut his opponent. This is called Ittō-ryū School: Harvest Shower in the Viz Manga.

Shugen's Techniques

Yamada Asaemon Shugen's use of the Tameshi Ittō-ryū involves the combined copied strengths of the ranked Yamada Asaemon to his swordsmanship. By bringing out their skills in battle, Shugen causes his opponent to sense that they are fighting more than one opponent.
