Jigokuraku Wiki

Hōjutsu: Tsuchinoto no i — Yakei ( (ほう) (じゅつ) (つちのと) () () (けい) , Literal meaning: Hōjutsu: Earth Yin — Night Pilgrimage) is a hōjutsu technique used by Mu Dan.

Overview[]

After using both hands to form two signs, Mu Dan's Tao becomes suppressed to conceal his presence from not only his opponent's line of sight but also from their minds, making it seem as though he has vanished completely. Once this is done, Mu Dan moves in to make a surprise attack on his opponent before they have time to notice his appearance.

Trivia[]

  • The name of this technique draws reference to the Heavenly Stems where, during ancient China, the ten days of the week were assigned an elemental attribute from the Wu Xing and a chi of either Yin or Yang. Mu Dan's use of this technique was added with the name "Yakei" due to them possessing Yin chi and Earth Tao.
