While Fuchi fails to understand him, Gantetsusai makes negative comments about the Yamada clan. Fuchi draws out his sword and tells him not to make light of the clan. Gantetsusai went with his statement and freed himself from his bindings. He then explains his plan of elimination the competition so he can take his time of finding the elixir. The two then stumble upon man-made statues. Gantetsusai then notices a butterfly stung him on his left hand and saw that it had a human face. Remembering what happened to the guard that had returned from the island, Gantetsusai cuts off his left hand which starts blooming into flowers. With excitement, he prepares to defend himself against the creatures approaching. However, he notices a large creature coming from behind and becomes disturbed. Meanwhile, Gabimaru and Sagiri are also approached by the same creatures. Gabimaru tells Sagiri to stay back and prepares to engage in combat.
