Summary[]
In British Hong Kong during the mid-1800s, Chōbei notices that the men he took down do not look like residents and is told by Tōma that they are from England due to the recent war causing chaos in power. Chōbei becomes pleased to hear this since he believes that it is an opportunity for him to take over the city and declares to the Englishmen that he now rules the underworld from here on. After one of the men calls Chōbei out to be a baby in British, due to the man's stature after he was revived by Tōma in the past with some help from Gui Fa, Tōma translates for Chōbei on what he said and sees his brother transform to kill the man for this insult. Chōbei becomes angry with his clothes being torn to shreds after being forced to transform but is informed by Tōma that he has more clothes in stored. At the same time in a teahouse in Japan's Hitoyoshi Domain, Shion gives his opinion on Nurugai's new appearance being too much for her age but is told that she prefers her new look since the other girls around her dress the same. Nurugai is then hit on by two men, which she found flattering, but sees Shion ward them off with a threat. Nurugai becomes disappointed but is given a lecture by Shion while being groomed. The two then decide to head North to find Nurugai's people and is wondered on by a woman working at the teahouse if they are father and daughter despite not seeing any resemblances. Meanwhile, while traveling, Sagiri talks to Yuzuriha about how Gantetsusai has opened up a dōjō dedicated towards medicine and swordsmanship. After finishing up a patient, Gantetsusai is issued a challenge by a man at the door but yells at him to silence himself. Sagiri then reveals that Jikka has taken over the Yamada clan as the next head and is now enjoying an easy life. After being asked by Yuzuriha as to why she has chosen to travel, Sagiri answers that it was a good way to help her polish her blade testing skills but also says that she wanted to leave home for a while. Yuzuriha figures that her current journey is to visit Gabimaru but remembers her past statement on it being ill-advised to do so. Sagiri replies that she could not help but to see him again. Sagiri then asks Yuzuriha why she decided to accompany her, to which Yuzuriha answers that she wanted to act as her bodyguard, as well as being fond of her. Sagiri and Yuzuriha then spot Yui outside her house and pay their respects. After coming inside, Yui offers to wake Gabimaru up to have him see them, much to Yuzuriha's shock by the fact that the man was asleep. Sagiri also finds it hard to believe this but states that he was no longer the same "Gabimaru" as before. Sagiri, Yuzuriha, and Yui check in on Gabimaru and see that he will not be able to wake up for the time being and comments on him being comfortable in his bed. The three women then proceed to talk to one another. Time then fast-forwards several centuries where Gui Fa is seen ending an online class while living in human society. Mei then enters the room to tell Gui Fa that Ju Fa and Tao Fa have sprouted early and walks off with them in hoping that the other Tensens have the same results.
