Jigokuraku Wiki

Chapter 121 of the Jigokuraku manga.

Summary[]

Gabimaru is placed alone in the same room with his soon to be wife Yui. Yui becomes spooked after Gabimaru raises his hand towards her and finds him patting her head. Yui questions his action, to which Gabimaru answers that he wanted to become more open with her since the first time he met her he could not believe that he could live a normal life after killing many people. Yui says that she does not understand where he was coming from and tells Gabimaru that he is still eligible to have a normal life despite his past sins and asks if it was not enough to have single person accept him for who he is. Gabimaru believes that it is enough and that he should accept himself to be free of his burden and move on. In the present, Sagiri raises her sword above Gabimaru's Arborified body and tells him that he must accept his burdens while continuing to live on. She then brings her sword down and beheads him. Momentarily, Gabimaru regains consciousness, with his body back to normal, and finds his severed head in front of him. Sagiri sees Gabimaru alive and explains that she had to amputate the parts of his body that were deeply rooted and use the Tao Restoration. Gabimaru becomes impressed with her approach and looks to see Shugen fighting Rien. With their allies potentially lost, as well as Rien being unharmed, Sagiri states that she cannot see a way to defeat her but is told by Gabimaru that they need to keep fighting as long as their alive, much to her satisfaction. Gabimaru also thanks Sagiri for leading him back towards doubt to increase the speed of his healing. After the two exchange puns, Gabimaru says that they cannot rely on fate due to the risk of failure and readies himself to fight alongside Sagiri.
