Summary[]
Yuzuriha panics from Gui Fa's warning but wonders if they are setting them up for a trap. Gui Fa states that they neither want to stop Rien or support her plans and asks Mei for her opinion on the matter. Before she could give her answer, Yuzuriha hits her over the head and tells her that they should hurry to where the others are. As a parting gift, Gui Fa warns her that according to the I Ching they found in Rien's room, only two men and one woman will survive, shocking Yuzuriha. Yuzuriha and Mei then arrive at the entrance to the floodgates with everyone gathered (with the exception of Gantetsusai who went ahead to try to stop Rien from departing, as well as the absence of Tōma). After entering, the group becomes disappointed to see that all the ships have been burned. Nurugai spots one ship unharmed but is told by Shion that they will not be able to use it since the wreckage is blocking the water from flowing. Using his ambition to see his wife again, Gabimaru jumps in to try to remove the wreckage, along with receiving help from Sagiri and Nurugai, despite it being an impossible task. Yuzuriha then sees Mei about to unleash her power, which she objects to doing since she knows that her body will be at risk. Despite her plea, Mei brings out a smile and transforms into her Kishikai, commanding everyone to get on the ship while she handles the task of making a path.
